Die meisten Fehler entstehen in den frühen Phasen einer Software-Entwicklung. Reviews sind ein wirksames und effizientes Instrument, um Fehler früh zu finden und Folgefehler zu vermeiden. Im Projektalltag wird jedoch häufig das Potenzial von Reviews nicht voll ausgeschöpft.

Das Seminar beschreibt einen Leitfaden zur erfolgreichen Vorbereitung und Anwendung von Reviews auf Arbeitsergebnisse wie z.B. Software-Anforderungen oder Programmcode. Die verschiedenen „Stellschrauben” zur Gestaltung eines Reviews, wie z.B. Grad der Formalität, Lesetechnik, Anzahl Personen im Review, werden vorgestellt. Der Leitfaden liefert ein Vorgehen zur schrittweisen Konfiguration eines Reviews unter Berücksichtigung von Projektzielen und -Rahmenbedingungen. Für die Durchführung eines Reviews werden kritische Erfolgsfaktoren beleuchtet. Das Seminar wird durch Beispiele und Übungen abgerundet.

Der Begriff “risikobasiertes Testen” wird seit vielen Jahren in der IT Branche verwendet. Risikobasiertes Testen ist ein Testansatz, der gleich in der Anfangsphase des Projektes das Produktrisiko verringern und die Stakeholder über den Status informieren soll. Es beinhaltet die Identifizierung der Produktrisiken und die Verwendung von Risikostufen zur Steuerung des Testprozesses [laut ISTQB® Glossar V 2.2].
