Program Manager

A Programme Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple, interrelated projects that contribute to broader strategic business objectives. Unlike Project Managers who focus on individual initiatives, Programme Managers ensure coordination, synergy, and alignment across several projects within a programme to maximise overall value and long-term success.

They provide direction, governance, and strategic oversight to ensure that all projects deliver outcomes that support the organisation’s priorities.

Programme Managers work closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to manage risks, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that dependencies across projects are handled seamlessly.

This role requires strong skills in strategic planning, benefits realisation, and stakeholder communication, often supported by training in programme and portfolio management methodologies such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) or PMI-PgMP (Programme Management Professional).
