Description

This course may be run either as a 5-day face to face or Live Online subject to demand. The foundation course is covered in the first 3 days, followed by the 2-day Practitioner course.

Managing Successful Programmes MSP® Certification is a comprehensive approach to programme management enabling organizations to deliver complex, strategic initiatives successfully. Through MSP, program managers can identify, prioritize, direct, and coordinate multiple projects within a programme, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives and delivering measurable benefits. This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to implement MSP structure, philosophy, principles and governance themes within their organizations, from designing and initiating programmes to managing and closing them. With a focus on practical application and real-world examples, participants will leave this course equipped to manage programmes effectively and achieve their strategic goals, while also opting to take both the Foundation and highly sought after MSP Practitioner certification exam.

Our MSP® Practitioner course introduces the next level to managing programmes effectively. You will use the tools and techniques you learn in the MSP® Foundation course through sample-scenarios and real-life business examples to ensure you do not only understand what successful programme management looks like but can also confidently implement it within your organisation.

MSP® can help your organisation achieve successful outcomes from transformational change. It provides an approach and a set of tools to enable change. It helps practitioners to define and pursue changes, all while managing risks, unforeseen issues, stakeholders, and other aspects with clarity and control.

Course Objectives

The practitioner course will allow you to build on the knowledge gained in the Foundation course. You also need to demonstrate sufficient ability to apply and tailor the MSP programme management framework to be awarded the MSP Practitioner qualification. This is achievable by applying your knowledge diligently and to real-world situations. On course completion you will understand the following:

  • Identifying the aim of the programme & envisaged benefits to the organisation
  • Defining the programme, and specifying how the organisation will be different afterwards
  • Managing the tranches to establish and run the programme
  • Delivering the capability to monitor and coordinate the projects
  • Realising the benefits of embedding Change through adequate transition activities
  • Ensuring the ‘End Goal’ has been achieved.
