Requirements Verification is a workshop investigating different techniques for measuring and improving the quality of requirements. It investigates the techniques that rely on a smaller group of stakeholders than traditional reviews.
Description

Traditional courses examining requirements quality and static testing introduce reviews as a method for detecting defects. This course looks at techniques for effectively capturing defects without involving as many people as formal reviews. These techniques are easier to organise, rely on fewer people and can empower a single team (for example requirements engineers or software testers) to detect defects. The techniques are therefore cost effective as well as easier to schedule.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and assess requirements quality
  • Use several techniques to capture defects in requirements
  • Measure quality improvement to requirements
  • Present an assessment of quality and the improvement of quality to management
