The BCS Certificate in Requirements Engineeringprovides attendees with the knowledge and tools to turn a business problem into a validated specification of requirements.

This course is delivered by BCS-accredited trainers with significant experience of requirements engineering and business analysis who will guide attendees through the five-part framework for Requirements Engineering.

The training includes group activities, case study analysis, and practical exam-based exercises.

Course Objectives

On completion of the Requirement Engineering course, delegates will be able to:

There are no course prerequistes, however students will be expected to have reviewed Chapters 5,10,11 and 12 from the most recent BCS publication of “Business Analysis” by Paul, Yeates & Cadle (3rd Edition).

This Practitioner certificate is relevant to thoseinvolved in any Requirements Engineering activities. This includes Business Analysts, Product Owners, Business Managers and their staff, Business Change Managers, Project Managers, Quality Assurance, or any stakeholder roles on business change projects who require good quality requirements.

The course is also aimed at individuals who would like to achieve the internationally recognised BCS Certificate in Requirements Engineering, on their path to achieving the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
