The ISTQB® Foundation Level Extension – Agile Tester course, accredited by ISTQB®, lasts 2 days will give the tester the knowledge to apply testing principles and skills as part of an agile team.

Agile testing follows the principles of agile software development as outlined in the Agile Manifesto. An Agile tester will work differently to a tester on a traditional project. Agile testers must therefore understand the values and principles that underpin Agile projects and how testers are part of the whole-team approach.

 

Who is it for:
This extension is aimed at anyone involved in software testing, who is interested in acquiring the basic skills required in working in an agile environment. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers and any professional who intends to take the ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level – Agile Tester Extension exam.

 

Objectives:
At the end of this training course, trainees will have the ability to:
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team being familiar with principles and practices
  • Adapt existing testing experience and knowledge and best practices to agile projects
  • Support the Agile team in planning test-related activities.

Prerequisites:
  • All participants must have successfully completed the ISTQB® Certified Tester – Foundation Level certification
  • Command of the English language as the official materials supporting this training course is provided in English only
  • Programming knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement
