Performance testing is a critical part of mitigating the risk of implementing an IT system, yet the number of testers who can effectively carry out this vital role is low.  Out of those performance testers who have received training, most have only been instructed in how to use a particular tool, rather than how to carry out performance testing effectively.  It can take years of trial and error to learn how to conduct performance testing effectively and efficiently.

The Performance Testing Fundamentals course will extend beyond the basic use of a tool to look at the nature of performance testing. The course also considers the challenges surrounding performance testing and how to overcome these challenges to make the performance testing more effective. The Performance Testing Fundamentals course will focus on the real nature of performance testing, how it should be carried out and how it should be managed.
